Going with all of the previous comments, this is a great design, harking back to some of the earlier designs of the LOTR films, especially with the Mouth of Sauron - dark priestly kind of designs. Having known that the Necromancer was indeed Sauron, I was confused as to whether you had already known that and were just going with some idea of what he would have looked like if he still had a physical body, but of course, that's no longer the case. Awesome either way!!

Thanks alot. Yeah it was a case of me not knowing and going off a brief description in the book trying to visualise a character that might inhabit the world. I wish I could say it was on purpose and I knew all a long lol.

This is a fantastic design, considering there isn't much reference to his appearance in the Hobbit

Like someone else mentioned, this is Sauron in disguise. So I think that the subtle similarities to Sauron's appearance (tall, dark, slim, with many layers of angular armor and a scary/ugly appearance) work extremely well

Great detail in the face and chest.

Interesting take on the character; though he reminds me more of a high priest of a dark religion then a demonic dark lord, I do like how his robes and armor are intertwined.

Thanks. Yeah thats what I was kinda going for, when I drew it I didn't know much of the backstory other than what I'd read in the Hobbit.

yes, is that I shouted during the movie, ah ah ah. just as he made his entrance on the scene as a dark spirit in Dol Guldur, ah ah ah,Sauron is a badass. I love it
